Nike celebrated the Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary in 2022 by releasing the shoe in a variety of colorways, including a collection of styles dedicated to cities like Houston and New Orleans. The head-turning design for New Orleans dons a white leather upper with Shimmering Silver Swooshes on the sides that show love to the “Pen & Pixelâ€?style font found on hip-hop album covers by a variety of New Orleansâ€?rappers. Unique Metallic Gold “NOLAâ€?branding appears on the lateral side of the heel. Additional Metallic Gold accenting is found on the “Nike Airâ€?branded heel tab and â€?04â€?lace dubrae.
